Tally becomes a conversation point when Freshworks also look for the IPO and touted to be the best SaaS product India has built, but for western market. Tally has clocked 80 Million USD of revenue annually for last 2 years and Freshworks has annual recurring revenue of 100 Million USD. Freshworks is serving 1.3 lakhs customers and Tally Solutions has 17 lakhs registered users with multi million pirated users. 

Tally Solutions can really interesting study case for Indian SaaS space, this article for sure is quite thorough and capture the journey of this organisation. Tally seems to have very religiously followed the customer development model of product building which Steve Blank get to discuss in his book start-up owners manual and 4 steps to the epiphany.

But this would really be an interesting point to give a thought - As Tally by operations is quite bureaucratic, would it be able to lead the Indian SaaS product space in terms of innovation?

Can Facebook go mainstream ? At Facebook people showcase idealistic and extreme projections of oneself. Idealism is an utopian concept and reality keep a balanced distance with it. In order to go mainstream, facebook has to become a very close ally of reality and play intermittent role in societal functions.
