Tally becomes a conversation point when Freshworks also look for the IPO and touted to be the best SaaS product India has built, but for western market. Tally has clocked 80 Million USD of revenue annually for last 2 years and Freshworks has annual recurring revenue of 100 Million USD. Freshworks is serving 1.3 lakhs customers and Tally Solutions has 17 lakhs registered users with multi million pirated users. Tally Solutions can really interesting study case for Indian SaaS space, this article for sure is quite thorough and capture the journey of this organisation. Tally seems to have very religiously followed the customer development model of product building which Steve Blank get to discuss in his book start-up owners manual and 4 steps to the epiphany.
